The software is available as a free download from the XCSoar entry on Sourceforge http://sourceforge.net/projects/xcsoar/ or following the links below.
- Step 1 - Review the Hardware requirements - the most important thing being a Pocket PC.
- Step 2 - Download the Program
- Step 3 - Download example or real data
- Step 4 - Install the software from Windows, Linux, Mac, Flash or The Internet
- Step 5 - Download Manual and read this Wiki - have fun.

Additional data files, such as terrain and topology, special use airspace, waypoints etc can be downloaded at this stage, or after installation of XCSoar. The files used by XCSoar are described in data-files.
The most important thing to download at this stage is the Program itself (see Download/Program for the Pocket PC version you are using.
