It would be a nice feature to be able to
activate/deactivate airspaces defined in an airspace file.

Some airspaces are only open on certain occations; this
may be wave windows, airspace assigned only on weekends
or special airspaces assigned daily on competitions.

The most convenient way I see is to be able to display
a list very similar to the list in the new dialogues in
4.7 where airspace type (display/warn) are set.
The list should contain the airspaces defined in the
airspace file, and for each airspace it should be
possible to enable/disable the airspace.

This way, it's very easy to adjust the active airspaces
without having to edit the airspace file on a computer
and copy it over.

I have attached the airspace file we got in this years
competition in Nitra - every briefing, we would get a
list of active airspaces for the day.

Hi Sverre. This is a good idea, and not too hard to
implement. We can have a dialog that allows lookup of
airspace by name and then the ability to acknowledge for the
whole day.

Perhaps in the meantime you may be able to use colour
coding to achieve what you want. Make active airspace
red, and inactive yellow for example. You can even make
the airspace invisible by selecting no-colour and no-
pattern. You may have to restart xcsoar for the changes
to take full effect. You will still get the warnings, but
at least you will know which ones require avoidance. I
have gone down the route of one airspace file for weekdays
and another for the weekend. Thinking about it, I may
change to colour coding. That way I get reminded of the
airspace even if I accidently forget to change files at
the weekend.
