Description
If i try to use maps with steep mountains, the terrain shading is incomplete.
Example shown in attached pictures
Additional Informations:
- XCSoar Version 5.2.4
- Happend in PPC2002 and Windows Version
- Different Maps (*.dat and *.xcm)

Could you provide us with the xcm file and/or coordinates that you used for the pictures?! It would be much easier to trace the bug.

I used the "Alpi3.xcm" mapfile that i found on XCSoar Sourceforge for the picture.

But the problem exist also if i use another map like:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/xcsoar/files/Data/Terrain_topo%20packages/XCSoarData-Alps.zip/download
or
http://sourceforge.net/projects/xcsoar/files/Data/Terrain_topo%20packages/XCSoarData-Alps_West.zip/download
It's possible that this problem only exist with some zoom levels.

I have testet different Binaries:
Version 5.1.8 -> problem don't exist
Version 5.2.2 -> problem exist
So i think you will find the bug in the changes between this two versions.
