Opening the manual fails in Acrobat Reader 5.0

Description

Probably not the newest version of the Acrobat Reader, but shouldn't it still be possible to open it?!

My acroread (9.4.7) gave a warning when opening the manual (a "helpful" dialog with the message "A drawing error occured.") "The problem seems to be caused by the "[Bevel]" layer of our swift logo. If I delete that layer and regenerate the manual everything seems to work. Further experiments lead to the fill gradient of the two shapes in this layer, i.e. by selecting another gradient the problem disappears.
