Description
There are a lot of tickets on varieties of info boxes, yet I think not all ideas are in the list:
Many data items in soaring come in pairs :
distance and bearing
distance and course
wind speed and direction
I suggest an info box where both items are displayed. That would save space for other information.
Suggested layout is attached.
I also suggest to do away with the "T" at the end of course numbers. In most cases the difference between T and M is neglegtable.

Magnetic declination is small in Europe at the moment. But in the USA or Australia it can be more than 20 deg. So it's significant

Yes, I am sorry to be so narrow-minded. Yet, a "T" or "M" could certainly be fitted into the proposal.

We seem to only display the "T" in the wind InfoBoxes?, nowhere else. In the US, I've never heard of wind being described with magnetic declination. I would suggest we add the word "True" in the help text describing affected InfoBoxes?. And consider removing the "T". I don't believe it's needed in the US. Don't know about Australia.

Also, about the "pairs" of information. It seems logical, but, DGFlija, I'd suggest you mock up the entire screen, not just the individual PDAs and consider whether you like how it looks as a whole. The InfoBoxes? are nice because they have one large number per box, not sure how it would look with two large numbers per box.

Will do so, RobD, as soon as the usual Christmas crazyness has subsided.
