Description (last modified by Turbo) (diff)
it would be a very nice thing to have a "emergency-goto-function" which sorts
landable fields by altitude required to reach, taking wind into account (like
nearest airport-funcion in lx-navigation-devices for example).
if a button could be assigned to this function it would add some extra safty
since it would be easier to find the nearest available landable-area/airfield in
case you get low than having to hop through the waypoint-menu and having to
search for landable areas/airfields in the waypoint list.
ge-glide and gps_log do have such an option.

hi....
the task-abort function is not really what i had in mind when opening the case.
what i thought of is a list of the nearest landable waypoints, sorted by
expected arrival-hight.
this is just the same as using waypoint lookup and define landable-fields and
a given range...maybe a shortcut to this waypoint-filter-settings would help.
lx-navigation uses such a filter to display nearest airports at a button-click.

- Summary changed from emergency-goto-function which sorts landable fields by altitude required to reach to Task: emergency-goto-function which sorts landable fields by altitude required to reach

We have this option already, it is the "Task Abort" function.
Please refer to the manual for how to use this.
