Install

From XCSoar

The software is available as a free download from the XCSoar entry on Sourceforge [[1]] or following the links below.

Step 1 - Review the Hardware requirements - the most important thing being a Pocket PC.
Step 2 - Download the Program
Step 3 - Download example or real data
Step 4 - Install the software from Windows, Linux, Mac, Flash or The Internet
Step 5 - Download Manual and read this Wiki - have fun.

You can get more information on downloads on the Download page.

Additional data files, such as terrain and topology, special use airspace, waypoints etc can be downloaded at this stage, or after installation of XCSoar. The files used by XCSoar are described in data-files.

The most important thing to download at this stage is the Program itself (see Download/Program for the Pocket PC version you are using.
