XCSoar 6.6 released

We are proud to announce the new major version 6.6! We have been working for two months on this release. There were 519 individual changes by 27 contributors since version 6.5. More than 6,000 people have installed the pre-releases on Android via Google Play (we don’t know how many people downloaded directly from our web site).

XCSoar 6.6_beta2 released

The second beta of XCSoar 6.6 brings major improvements to the circling wind algorithm. The algorithm is now faster and more reliable. Support for non-metric units has been improved, and a few old bugs were fixed.

The final release has been delayed by a few more days, and will be ready for the Aero 2013 in Friedrichshafen next week. Visit our booth at A1-124!

XCSoar on the Aero Expo 2013

The development of 6.6 has been delayed a bit. Some of the new features needed some more consideration and polish. This is the second alpha with many bug fixes and a few new features. The beta test will begin next week.

This is the first release to support the Cubieboard.
